Pittsylvania Career and Technical Center is joining the initiative for National Bullying Prevention Awareness Month
.
The following activities are planned for the week of October 29-31,
2018:

Welding
students created
"Stomp out
Bullying" Signs
that
we have
located in our
main entrance
for visitors
and students
to view
and recognize.

We will
offer opportunities
for all
school members
to wear
blue on
October 19, 2018.
-
We
have clubs
that are
creating posters
and positive
messages that
will be broadcasted throughout all the school
areas.
-
We have
clubs that
have decorated
doors to
send positive
messages throughout
the
building.

Mrs
.
Dalton
spoke with
the National
Honor Society
students about
bullying and prevention steps.
Students had great discussion about
how to recognize bullying
and who
to inform
within the
building if
they witness
those
actions.
-
All faculty
and staff
implemented conversations
and assignments
that would allow students to reflect on kindness and how to
address issues as they face them
within industry
and work
base settings.
-
On October
31, 2018
we will
have a
presentation from
Danville Pittsylva
nia
County Community Services Board to our students about anti-bullying strategies and
implementation.
